Description

Bushel is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Operations Support Associate to join our fast-growing Payments vertical. This associate level role is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in payments operations, compliance support, and financial risk management within a high-growth SaaS environment. You’ll work closely with senior team members to help manage the flow of funds, monitor risk signals, and support day-to-day operational workflows.

This role is ideal for someone who is excited to learn about financial operations, risk, and compliance and grow within a company that sits at the intersection of fintech and agriculture.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily monitoring of payment transactions and risk signals
  • Respond to internal inquiries and customer support escalations related to account activity
  • Conduct daily Bushel Visa card reconciliation and settlement activities
  • Help compile data for internal reports, dashboards, and audit requests
  • Conduct research on transaction issues or anomalies as directed
  • Maintain clear documentation of processes, findings, and procedures
  • Monitor and triage exception reports for manual review or escalation
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent execution of financial and operational controls
  • Assist in updating and refining operational procedures and internal guides
  • Support ad hoc projects and testing related to payment operations or compliance
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • A curiosity and desire to understand how money moves through digital systems
  • Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Clear written and verbal communication
  • Comfort working in spreadsheets (basic formulas, filters, pivot tables a plus)
  • Willingness to learn compliance, regulatory, and payments concepts
  • Positive attitude and ability to take direction and work within a team

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience in banking, fintech, customer support, or operational roles
  • Familiarity with digital payments, ACH, or financial platforms is a plus
  • Experience working with data or financial information is helpful
  • Knowledge of Google Workplan, preferably Sheets
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required

Physical Requirements:

  • Sitting or standing, if preferred, at a desk and working on a computer.

In accordance with state pay and benefit transparency laws, below is the salary range for potential new hires: $58,000- $68,000 (plus benefits - see “Bushel Benefits” section above)
